7 DAY BLUE CRUISE:  Göcek – Marmaris- Göcek

Göcek is the fishing village that found its true calling: now it is the favoured mooring and supply point for yachts and boats of all sizes and destinations. At the furthest north-western end of Fethiye Gulf, it has one of the most sheltered bays and some of the clearest of waters overlooked by serene hills forested with pines. Within its bay are smaller coves and islands giving the name Bay of Twelve Islands, each more beautiful than the last. Close to the Dalaman airport (22 km) Göcek is the haven for gulets, sailors and visitors looking for relaxation as well. There are a good number of hotels, pensions and villas to stay in before or after your cruise.
Add – Ons During Charter :
Dalyan is an optional extra tour, and can be paid separately.

Day 1 :
Embarkation in Göcek Harbor after 4pm, is followed by our Guletbooker’s welcome and information meeting on-board.  Cruise a short way to Tersane Island, once a famous Ottoman port noted for its boatbuilding, but with scattered Byzantine ruins along the shore, including a church, and later era abandoned Ottoman Greek houses.  After a swim we continue to Batik Hamam (Manastir) Bay to snorkel around the sunken Roman bath towards the southeast side of the bay. Stay overnight in Batik Hamam or a nearby bay. This area is also known as Cleopatra’s Baths, where legend has it that the Egyptian Queen sailed and bathed.

**(According to your request , you may also spend the overnight on a closer bay ,rather than staying on the port.)

Day 2 :
Cruise to Ekincik but stop for a not-to-be-missed tour**, one of the highlights of a Blue Cruise.  Embark upon a flat bottomed, local riverboat to travel through the river channels of reeds in the environmentally protected Dalyan Delta wetlands. The riverboat takes you up river to the modern town of Dalyan opposite the ruins of ancient Caunos, where the extraordinary Lycian tombs of princes were carved directly into the cliff sides. Further up river you can indulge in the famous mineral mud baths reputed to rejuveate the skin.  Return to the river mouth at the end of the long sandy Iztuzu beach, nesting site for the Caretta caretta loggerhead turtles.  Dinner and overnight in Ekincik Bay.

Day 3 :
Breakfast is enjoyed in Ekincik Bay then you sail onto another beautiful spot at Kadırga Bay for swimming and lunch. Later in the afternoon you will sail into the great protected harbour of Marmaris, where Marmaris town lies surrounded by green forest hills. Dinner will be on board when you are moored on the harbour front side by side with many other gulets and yachts- Marmaris has long been the yachtsman’s favourite harbour. Mere steps away are restaurants, bars and the old town’s narrow streets around the small castle and museum. A short distance away is the bustling shopping area, and then the long sandy beachfront.

Day 4 :
In the morning after breakfast, the gulet sets sail for the quiet bay of Kumlubük for swimmimg and lunch, and then moves along the coast back towards Göcek.

Day 5 :
An early morning departure brings you to a breakfast mooring, and then onwards across the mouth of Fethiye Gulf to round the peninsula for a glimpse of the spectacular Ölüdeniz and the famous blue lagoon. The long Ölüdeniz beach and busy has swimming and other water sports, with the high Babadag mountain behind it. Moor at Gemiler Adasi(Ships Island). Once home to Lycian and Byzantine pirates, the remains of an entire village and on the heights, St. Nicholas church, are there to be explored and it is a wonderful place to swim and snorkel.
